WHAT TO DO AS YOU GET ON TO THE PLANE

 You may not be aware that the food tray table in front of you is more infected with germs than bathroom fittings. So take with you some sanitizing swipes and wipe the tray, arm rests, seat buckles and basically any area you may touch during your flight.

Remember that you are in an enclosed space with recycled air. Your neighbor may harbor any infectious disease like Tuberculosis, common cold, SARS ( Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome)  etc. To protect yourself to some extent, you may open the AC vent above your head and direct it to flow over your head and adjust the force to your liking. This may prevent the germs and drive it away from you.

It is always better to be prepared to meet any emergency in a flight. You will know the usual instructions given before the start of the flight. But you should always know the location of the emergency exits nearby by counting the rows from yours since you may encounter a situation where the visibility may be much limited due to various reasons. In case the one in front is crowded during emergency, you must also know the other one behind you too. This will save your valuable time during emergency.

• Make sure your entertainment panel in front of you works. If not you may request the help of the flight attendant who may offer you another seat if that is not in order. You may require it if your flight is of long hauled one.
• Check whether the life-saving vest is under your seat or not. You may be surprised to know that even this is stolen and taken as souvenir by some travelers.
• Take our all that may be wanted frequently by you from your hand luggage and keep it handy with you. You need not disturb your seat neighbor often to take them out.
• Take something to chew to prevent painful ear that may happen while the plane is ascending and descending.
• If you are not the type to strike a conversation with your seat neighbor or your neighbor is too talkative, put on your head phone whether you are listening music or not !!
